I will give half of all proceeds from sales of this track to the "Vulcan To The Sky Trust", to aid in their effort to keep the last Vulcan, XH558 flying.
One weekend, I was reading about the "Vulcan to the Sky" campaign and noticed that they were really desperate to hit a very important target that very weekend, and needed all of the help that they could get.
Thinking back to seeing XH558 - The very last of it's kind that can ever be flown - at many airshows over the last few years, brought back many happy memories. I had an idea - maybe if I channel those into something I'm good at? something creative? That could in some small way help to raise awareness at least.
So, after much work, this piece of music came to exist. It is based around the feelings of waiting for the Vulcan to arrive at a display, amaze the crowd, and imagining what it must be like to be sat up there in the cockpit or on board gazing at the crowds below, usually 10's of thousands strong.
Hopefully I have captured these feelings and this piece of music will in some way let you come close to feeling what I feel when I think about this amazing piece of living history.
