A while back, I found myself watching a fire burn itself out, and thinking about how transient some things are. We are rarely left with nothing, even if all that is left behind are fleeting memories, like the fading embers of a once powerful fire. Often, those embers will burn for a very long time indeed.
This track took quite a while to finalise, and a lot went into it before it was 'done'. If you're interested, you can find two prototypes of this piece on my
